The owners of DanRic Homes view your new home as more than bricks and lumber.
"While we are committed to constructing a quality house with the best products and professional staff, we are equally devoted to meeting the needs of your family in terms of floor plan, amenities and special details," says Darby Durand Pippin, DanRic president. "We have families of our own and realize that the house in which a family lives reflects their unique personality, hopes, dreams and values. With this in mind, we'll work with you to ensure your new home is a perfect fit for your family."
Dan and Nancy Durand built the first DanRic Home in 1974 and the company remains a family business today, more than 3 decades later. Until late 2009, Dan Durand remained immersed in daily operations that have expanded far beyond the reaches of Troup County, Ga., into several more West Georgia locales and into east and central Alabama. His wife, Nancy, assists with Financial and Corporate Sponsorship Operations for DanRic Homes and operates Durand Properties, a family rental company.
The Durand's older daughter, Darby, grew up in the homebuilding business and formally joined it in 1998 as vice president of Operations. Younger daughter, Kelly Durand Cain, entered the family business as general office manager in 2005. On December 31, 2009, Dan Durand officially retired as President of DanRic Homes and now, Darby holds that title, with Kelly assuming the role of Vice-President.
With the Durand daughters assuming the responsibility of the business their parents built, DanRic Homes has the unique position of being a tried-and-true construction company that continues to evolve and expand its vision, keeping on the cusp of the most modern homebuilding trends. The excitement and enthusiasm of sisters Darby and Kelly ensures that the well-rooted family business will continue to grow and thrive through the next generation and beyond.
Just as the Durand girls often accompanied their parents to build sites when they were youngsters, their own children are growing up in the family business. It's not unusual to see J.D., his brother Jackson, and their sister, Mary Alex, (children of Darby and Alex Pippin) at their mother’s side when she's inspecting final details of a DanRic Home. Likewise, Judson, Stella and Gardner (children of Kelly and Chris Cain) are eager to help their mom manage the Durand family business.
